The Best Vegan Comfort Food

January 29, 2015 by Ceara 43 Comments

All this talk of snow blizzards has got me seriously craving some warming and stick-to-your-bone kinda comfort food. The kind of food that warms the soul and is perfect for a snowy (or rainy in my case!) evening spent in by the fireplace. When I think of comfort food, I think soups, lentils, creamy curries and pasta. What’s your go-to comfort food? Here are some of the best vegan comfort foods from some truly awesome fellow blogger around the web! #EatHappyLiveHappy

This is a great list of vegan options, and I like that it isn’t too pasta heavy. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks so much, Liz!! I know what you mean about the pasta – it’s so easy to eat pasta every night as a vegan because it’s so easy!! It’s great to have some other options as well 🙂

Girl!!! WOW!! Way to be!! Here I am thinking that vegan food is just light salads and fruit… when I went vegan for a few months I did it the totally wrong way… I ate hardly anything and got really bony and unhealthy… these meals prove that being a vegan can be totally nourishing and satisfying!! I am thoroughly impressed!! 🙂 Need to remember these recipes!! ( Those lentils look amazing!!)

This is a stunning round up of awesome recipes Ceara! I think my 2 favs are the meatless stuffed pepper soup and the vegan Mac & Cheese. Mac & cheese is my ultimate comfort food! Well, that and chicken pot pie. I’m vegan in the products I use (hair, shampoo, etc) Working on the food =) Moving in the right direction…..eh (for the Canadian in you!) I hope you are having a lovely week. Such lovely photo’s of all this food, too bad a food blogger doesn’t live next door to me!
