Creamy Vanilla Avocado Smoothie

I could put avocado in everything.
Avocado in my guacamole, burritos, dressing and SMOOTHIES. One of my favorite ways to enjoy avocado is in this pretty light green CREAMY Avocado Smoothie.
Avocados are one of those “superfoods” everybody is talking about. And it’s true. Avocados are pretty much one of the healthiest and wholesome foods ever in my books. They are full of healthy fats, fiber, minerals and did you know avocados have more potassium than bananas?!?
Say whaaaaaaaat? Step aside bananas, there’s a new potassium-filled fruit in town!
Smoothies are one of my favorite ways to start the day. I am pretty lazy when it comes to weekday morning breakfasts. I usually opt to sleep in half an hour longer than wake up early to make french toast or pancakes before work. Most weekdays I’m either munching on some oatmeal, my banana oat breakfast cake that I made on the weekend or most times a super simple, nutritious and get-your-greens smoothies. #LetsBeHonest
This Creamy Avocado Smoothie is one of my favorite smoothie recipes. It is SO incredibly creamy (ha!), vanilla-infused, the perfect amount of sweet and super filling. Plus, who doesn’t like getting their morning dose of energizing greens right when they wake up. You’ll feel amazing after this Creamy Avocado Smoothie guys and I PROMISE that you don’t taste the spinach whatsoever. Take my word for it!
You can even make this Creamy Avocado Smoothie the night before work to make for a super simple morning. If you make this smoothie in advance all you have to do is give it a little stir before you drink it down. One thing I’ve learned since having an adult-not-a-student-anymore-job is that the less complicated and easier my mornings the better, lol!

Description
A creamy, dreamy Vanilla Avocado Smoothie. Pour this smoothie into a jar for a delicious and healthy breakfast on the go!
Ingredients
- 1 avocado
- 1 large frozen banana
- 1 1/2 – 2 cups vanilla almond milk
- 1 cup spinach
- 1 – 2 tbsp maple syrup (optional)
Instructions
- Add all the ingredients to a high-speed blender (avocado, frozen banana, vanilla almond milk, spinach, and optional maple syrup).
- Blend, blend, blend.
- Adjust sweetness to taste.
- Pour into a jar or glass and enjoy!
Notes
1) The maple syrup is optional if you want this smoothie to be a bit sweeter.
2) Substitute vanilla almond milk with plain almond milk and 1/2 tsp of vanilla.

So i’ve always been a little skeptical of the avo smoothie thing, but once you said vanilla you had my attention! I’ve been addicted to green smoothies lately, and I need to change it up from my plain old banana + spinach one. Plus it looks so creamy and totally spoon-able which is my favorite type of smoothie π
